Hair won’t grow back thicker
It’s a myth that hair grows back more thickly after dermaplaning. Your hair growth pattern will not change: it will grow back just as it was before.
When to avoid dermaplaning
A few active acne spots can be avoided, but you should not get dermaplaning when active acne covers a large portion of the face. You should also avoid dermaplaning on areas of the face that are not taut. Finally, thick hair cannot be dermaplaned: waxing is a better alternative for areas on the face with dense hair growth.
The process
Dermaplaning takes about 30 minutes: we first cleanse the skin, dermaplane, then finish with serum and moisturizer. Dermaplaning can also be added on to a traditional facial in place of the normal exfoliation step.
